Bentley Corbett graduated from Valley High School in 2012 in Las Vegas, NV. He was involved with his high school band, student council, and swim team all throughout high school, along with the Las Vegas Youth Orchestra, with whom he toured in China during the summer of 2011. He has also performed at Carnegie Hall with the Honors Performance Series Orchestra. His high school music experiences led him to continue his passion in college. He is working toward a BA in Music Education at UMBC, and has played trumpet in the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, and, of course, the Pep Band! He’s also an Event Programmer for the Student Events Board, (seb), a Student Life Ambassador, and an active member of the SGA.
After graduating, Bentley hopes to teach at a high school as a band director. He’s played trumpet since 6th grade and also plays flute, clarinet, saxophone, and a bit of piano. If you see someone playing trumpet & wearing a horse mask…you know who it is.
